SsangYong
SsangYong Motor Company is South Korea's oldest carmaker, with a 70-year history of producing SUVs, utilities and people-movers.
Majority controlled by KG Group since 2022 and now known as KGM SsangYong Australia locally, the SUV specialist was previously owned by Mahindra and formerly sold a range of models with close ties to Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including the original Musso SUV and the Chairman sedan.
In Australia, the brand offers the Musso ute – a long-running nameplate in our market – as well as the closely related Rexton large off-road SUV and a pair of mid-size SUVs in the Korando and the much newer Torres, which will become available in EVX battery-electric and Actyon 'coupe' forms.
