Established in June 2025, KGM Australia is the new name of the local importer for the SsangYong Motor Company, which is South Korea's oldest automaker and has been producing SUVs, utilities and people-movers since 1954.Majority controlled by KG Group since 2022 and rebranded as KGM SsangYong Australia locally in September 2024, the SUV and ute specialist was previously owned by Mahindra and formerly sold a range of models with close ties to Mercedes-Benz vehicles, including the original Musso SUV of 1997.In Australia, KGM offers its best-selling Musso dual-cab ute,  as well as the closely related Rexton large off-road SUV and a trio of mid-size SUVs in the Korando and the much newer Torres and Actyon ‘coupe’.
