15,284 KGM SsangYong Musso and Rexton vehicles have been recalled as a defective fuse could cause them to lose power unexpectedly.

KGM SsangYong Australia is recalling more than 15,000 vehicles across the Musso and Rexton model lines as they could suddenly lose power.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, under certain driving conditions the engine cooling fan fuse may fail,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, the engine may overheat leading to a sudden loss of motive power whilst driving.
“A sudden loss of motive power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

- A total of 15,284 Musso and Rexton models built between 2020 and 2024 are affected
- The Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) list is attached here

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a KGM SsangYong dealer to have the cooling fan wiring harness replaced, free of charge.
