Jeep
American off-road auto brand Jeep was first founded in the 1940s to make war vehicles and now manufactures a range of SUV and pickup model as part of the Stellantis group.
Iconic Jeep model lines include the hard-core Wrangler and the large, luxurious Grand Cherokee, both of which have had a presence in the Australian market for decades (the mid-size Cherokee has been discontinued).
Jeep also currently sells the smaller Compass crossover, the Wrangler-based Gladiator dual-cab 4x4 utility and the Avenger small electric SUV.
Unlike most mainstream auto manufacturers, Jeep vehicles tend to offer rugged off-road capability out of the box, and both the Compass and Grand Cherokee are also available with plug-in hybrid power (the latter only in short-wheelbase five-seat from - not seven-seat L guise).
