Volkswagen has recalled its Caddy for an issue with its front suspension.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the transverse link bushes fitted to the front axle may have been incorrectly welded,” the company says in its recall notice.

“This could cause the transverse link to fracture causing the front wheels to move independently of the steering wheel, potentially resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

“A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment at a Volkswagen dealership for a free inspection and repair.

If you have any further questions, you can contact Volkswagen on 1800 504 076.
