Suzuki has issued a recall for its Vitara to prevent the incorrect installation of child seats, but owners won’t need to take their cars back to a dealer.
“Vehicles have been supplied with incorrect information in the owner’s manual in regards to the installation of ISOFIX child restraint system,” the company says in its recall notice.
“Consumers may incorrectly install the ISOFIX child restraint system, posing a risk of injury or death to the child in the event of an accident.”
Suzuki Australia and Suzuki Queensland is contacting owners by registered mail and will send the correct information to insert into the owner’s manual.
For any further questions, owners can contact Suzuki Australia on 1800 777 088 and Suzuki Queensland on (07) 3623 4900.
