Suzuki is recalling the Swift, Baleno, S-Cross and Vitara as the brakes may not work as intended.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the valve between the engine and the vacuum assist brake booster may swell under certain conditions,” the company says in its recall notice.
“As a result, an increased brake pedal effort may be required to achieve the expected stopping distance.
“Note: The brake system remains functional.
“If the braking system does not operate as intended, it could increase the risk of a crash resulting in serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
All vehicles are from between 2016 and 2022.
