2021 Skoda Kodiaq price and specs

If you wanted to get one of the last Skoda Kodiaq RS diesels, you’re out of luck.

There’s no stock remaining, leaving just two Skoda Kodiaq variants available ahead of the upcoming mid-cycle update.

The update will arrive “by December” of 2021.

The updated model will once again offer a flagship RS, albeit powered by the 180kW 2.0-litre petrol four-cylinder engine from the Octavia RS.

Other changes for next year include revised styling front and rear, new front seats and the latest version of Skoda’s infotainment interface. You can read a full list of changes here.

Engines

The 2021 Skoda Kodiaq comes with a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine producing 132kW of power and 320Nm of torque.

The Kodiaq is all-wheel drive and uses a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Fuel Economy

The 2021 Skoda Kodiaq uses 7.6L/100km on the combined cycle.

It requires 95RON premium unleaded fuel and has a 60L fuel tank.

Dimensions

The 2021 Skoda Kodiaq measures 4697mm long (4699mm in the Sportline) and 1882mm wide.

It’s 1655mm tall in the base 132TSI (1676mm including the roof rails) and 1683mm tall in the 132TSI Sportline.

There’s 270L of luggage space behind the third row, measured up to the headrests. Fold the third row and there’s 630L up to the rear shelf, and then 2005L up to the roof with the second and third rows folded.

Servicing and Warranty

The 2021 Skoda Kodiaq is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.

It requires servicing every 12 months or 15,000km. The first six services are capped at $336, $433, $625, $1007, $450 and $684.

That works out to a total of $3535 over six years in 132TSI models.

Skoda also offers pre-paid servicing plans. The three-year/45,000km pack costs $900, while the five-year/75,000km pack costs $1700.

Safety

The Skoda Kodiaq has a five-star rating from ANCAP based on testing conducted in 2017.

It received an adult occupant protection score of 92 per cent, a child occupant protection score of 77 per cent, a pedestrian protection score of 62 per cent and a safety assist score of 54 per cent.
