The ever-popular Mazda CX-30 continues through 2021 with pricing unchanged from last year.
As before, the range opens with the 2.0-litre G20 petrol model and extends to the X20 Astina.
With 8998 sales in 2020, the CX-30 was the fifth-best selling Mazda in Australia behind the CX-5, CX-3, BT-50, and 3 hatchback and sedan.
The model sold well in 2020, sitting in the top three for its class behind the Hyundai Kona and the Mitsubishi ASX.
It outsold the likes of the Volkswagen T-Roc and Toyota C-HR, and late in the year gained a new range-topping X20 M Hybrid variant.
All prices exclude on-road costs.
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 Pure and Evolve models are offered exclusively with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine making 114kW and 200Nm.
Moving to the CX-30 Touring spec adds the option of a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine which produces 139kW and 252Nm.
The range-topping Astina features either 2.0 or 2.5-litre engines as featured in models listed above, or an X20mild-hybrid 2.0-litre supercharged petrol engine with 132kW and 224Nm.
For the base 2.0-litre engine, average combined fuel economy is 6.5L/100km.
The 2.5-litre engine in the Mazda CX-30 has a combined economy of 6.6L/100km, and the X20 mild-hybrid 2.0-litre uses a combined 6.0L/100km.
All engines excluding the hybrid can run on 91RON petrol. The hybrid model must take a minimum of 95RON.
The Mazda CX-30 scored a five-star ANCAP safety rating when tested in 2019.
It scored 99 per cent for adult occupant protection, 88 per cent for child occupant protection, 80 per cent for vulnerable road user protection, and 76 per cent for safety assist.
All Mazda CX-30 models are fitted with:
The 2021 Mazda CX-30 measures 4395mm long, 1540mm wide and 1795mm long, with a 2655mm wheelbase.
The Mazda CX-30’s boot has a luggage capacity of 317L with the rear seats in place.
If you take underfloor storage into account boot space is between 422L and 430L.
Like all Mazdas, the CX-30 is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty with five years of roadside assistance.
Maintenance is required every 12 months or 10,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
