Volkswagen Australia has confirmed a limited run of Touareg Adventure models, bringing enhanced specification and unique personalisation options when it arrives in August, priced from $90,990 plus on-road costs.
Reviving a popular special-edition nameplate for the Touareg line, the latest iteration builds on the specification of the flagship 190TDI Premium with more rugged equipment and styling, headlined by additional off-road modes, underbody protection, and the introduction of beige and brown leather interiors.
For the additional $4200 spend over the 190TDI Premium, the Touareg Adventure picks up unique 19-inch ‘Esperance’ alloy wheels, roof bars, underbody protection, a 90L long-range fuel tank, 360-degree cameras, four-wheel steering, memory function for the front seats, steering column and side mirrors, direct tyre pressure monitoring (individual readings), and the exclusive open-pore fine grain ash wood trim inserts for the dashboard and doors.
As mentioned earlier, there’s additional off-road drive modes – specifically for gravel and sand – to enhance drivability on loose surfaces, while two optional ‘Adventure Packages’ bring extras like a tow bar, a boot tray and mud flaps for even more capability.
Volkswagen will also offer Touareg Adventure buyers a 10 per cent discount on its genuine roof bar accessories range, such as the roof box, bike/surfboard/kayak carriers, and ski/snowboard carrier.
Like the 190TDI Premium the Touareg Adventure is offered with the $8000 Innovision Package which incorporates the 12.3-inch Active Info Display and 15-inch Discover Premium infotainment system as well as a head-up display and ambient interior lighting, while metallic and pearl paints command an additional $2000.
Unique to the Adventure is the option of Sechura Beige metallic paint (pictured), which is paired exclusively to the lighter Atacama Beige Savona leather interior.
Pure White ($NCO) also gets the beige cabin, while Silicone Grey and Deep Black Pearl get the Florence Brown interior.
The Volkswagen Touareg Adventure arrives in August, limited to just 150 units.
