    About the Toyota Kluger

    Last updated Dec 18, 2024

The top-selling Toyota Kluger seven-seat SUV has received a price increase after three months of being on sale.

The entire Kluger range is up by $1400, which means it now starts at $51,120 before on-roads for the GX, and extends to $79,560 before on-roads for the Grande AWD Hybrid.

A main highlight of the 2023 model year update is a new turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which replaces the V6, but there have also been updates to the Kluger’s technology.

The 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine produces 20kW less power (198kW) than the V6 but 70Nm more torque (420Nm, available much lower in the rev band from 1700rpm).

The existing 2.5-litre AWD-only (eFour) hybrid powertrain offered across the full Kluger line-up remains unchanged.

The Stolen Vehicle Tracking feature can be used by authorities to potentially recover the vehicle if stolen.

Finally all GX variants now gain automatic dual-zone front and single-zone rear air conditioning, while the Grande gains a wireless smartphone charger.
