Polestar
Polestar is a Swedish electric vehicle brand that's based in Gothenburg but Chinese-controlled since it was acquired by Volvo Cars in 2015, became an EV-only brand in 2017 and is now majority-owned by Geely Holding Group.
Its debut model in early 2022 was the mid-size Polestar 2 fastback, which has now been joined by the Polestar 3 large SUV and the Polestar 4 mid-size SUV - a direct rival for the top-selling Tesla Model Y.
