Volkswagen Australia has delivered price cuts of up to $5500 on 162TSI R-Line versions of its Tiguan and TiguanAllspace, with more than 2000 examples ready to be delivered nationwide.

    Until December 31, 2024, the five-seat Volkswagen Tiguan 162TSI R-Line and seven-seat Tiguan Allspace 162TSI R-Line are priced from $61,990 drive-away across Australia.

Ordinarily, both versions of the Tiguan 162TSI R-Line are priced from $60,590 before on-road costs, with the nationwide drive-away price representing savings of approximately $3200 to $5500, depending on where you live.

Volkswagen says there are about 900 five-seaters and 1300 seven-seaters currently ready for delivery.

Nationwide drive-away pricing for the Volkswagen Tiguan is available now.Contact a dealer via CarExpert for the best deal, or call our Concierge team on 1300 587 992.

The savings offset the cost of most options available on the Tiguan 162TSI R-Line, such as the optional panoramic sunroof ($2100).

The 162TSI R-Line is also available with a Sound and Vision package ($2750) which adds a surround-view camera, Harman Kardon sound system and head-up display.

Non-standard metallic or pearl and premium metallic paint finishes are available for an extra $900.

Powering the Volkswagen Tiguan 162TSI R-Line is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which produces 162kW of power and 350Nm of torque.

Drive is sent to all four wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Volkswagen Australia cut the prices of its Tiguan Allspace to align it with the regular Tiguan in May, which applies not only to the R-Line but all other variants shared between the two model lines.

A new-generation Volkswagen Tiguan is due in Australia during the second quarter of next year (April to June inclusive), headlined by a flagship 195TSI R-Line which brings the SUV into line with the power outputs of the Golf GTI and Skoda Octavia RS.
