Volkswagen is recalling 331 examples of its Polo hatchback because of an issue with the rear spoiler.
“Due to a manufacturing issue, the roof spoiler may not have been bonded correctly and could become loose and detach from the vehicle,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If the roof spoiler detaches from the vehicle there is an increased risk of injury or death to road users.”
If you own an affected Polo, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with an authorised Volkswagen dealer.
The spoiler will be replaced and properly bonded, free of charge.
