Polestar has yet to launch its first electric convertible, but it has revealed what appears to be a meaner-looking version of it.
The brand has revealed its latest concept car ahead of an imminent in-person debut at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed and it appears to be a hotted-up version of its forthcoming Polestar 6 electric convertible.
The Polestar Concept BST has been created as a “demonstration of how far we can push our performance brand”, according to Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath.
The Sino-Swedish carmaker has previously used the BST moniker for high-performance limited-edition versions of the Polestar 2.
A number of the key design elements of the Polestar Concept BST are identical to the original Polestar 6 concept shown back in 2022. At that time it was called the Polestar O2 concept.
The two concept cars feature a very similar removable roof.
Key differences with the latest Concept BST, however, include its aggressive front fascia with a low splitter and bonnet vents, as well as flared wheel arches to help accommodate for an “extra wide track” and the 22-inch forged alloy wheels.
It’s also hard to look past the humongous swan-neck rear wing and dramatic rear diffuser.
The Polestar Concept BST is finished in a silver paint with “bespoke racing-livery-inspired graphics”.
Polestar hasn’t revealed any performance details about the Concept BST, though the Polestar 6 is built on the same bonded aluminium architecture as the forthcoming Polestar 5.
Speaking of the Polestar 6, a concept version of this electric convertible will be located in the first glance paddock at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’ll also make its dynamic debut as is completes the iconic hillclimb.
At Polestar’s main stand it will not only be displaying the new Concept BST but also examples of the Polestar 2, 3 and 4.
At this stage it’s unclear whether any element of the Polestar Concept BST will reach production. The production version of the Polestar 6 electric convertible is still expected to arrive locally in 2026.
