    Mercedes-Benz GLE, GLS recalled

Mercedes-Benz is recalling 2019-22 GLE and GLS SUVs due to an issue with a piece of exterior trim that could detach.

Mercedes-Benz is recalling its GLE and GLS SUVs due to an issue with a piece of exterior trim.

“The trim bar at the rear door windows may not have been attached correctly to its retainer and could become loose and detach from the vehicle,” the company said in its recall notice.

“If the trim bar detaches from the vehicle while driving, it could increase the risk of an accident or injury to other road users and bystanders.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to book in at a Mercedes-Benz dealership for a free inspection and repair.

If you have any further questions, you can contact the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centre on 1300 300 896.
