Mercedes-Benz is recalling 372 examples of its Vito van and related V-Class people mover because the fuel filter drainpipe may rub against the underfloor panel, causing a fuel leak.
This recall affects V-Class and Vito models produced in 2022 with the latest OM654 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel filter drainpipe may come in contact with the underfloor panel and chafe whilst driving,” said the company in its recall notice.
“This could result in a diesel fuel leak and cause a noticeable fuel odour.”
