The 2024 Mercedes-AMG G 63 lineup continues to grow, this time with a sextet of special editions inspired by nature.
AMG’s ‘Elements Edition’ lineup brings six unique exterior finish and interior pairings to the G 63, called Water, Desert, Gravel, Forest, Snow and Tarmac.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed they’ll come to local showrooms, but in unspecified, limited numbers, with prices starting from $387,661 before on-road costs – or $24,000 more than the G 63 upon which they’re based.
Unique exterior equipment for the G 63 Elements Edition includes available 22-inch five-spoke matte-black forged wheels (cross-spoke wheels are also available), new puddle lights projecting ‘G – Stronger Than Time’ on the ground, and the standard fitment of certain AMG Night Package trim highlights.
Interior changes include: a cherry wood luggage compartment floor; diamond-stitched perforated Nappa leather seats, door panels and arm rests; a Burmester surround sound system; sliding glass sunroof; interior air ionisation; air vents and window switches in silver chrome; plus black microfibre roof liner and sun visors.
Additional standard-fit features include an AMG performance steering wheel, rubber boot mat, and AMG’s performance package which increases the top speed to 240km/h.
There’s also a carbon-fibre engine cover.
The six Element Edition variants differ as follows:
- Water – Vintage blue non-metallic paint, yacht blue and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in yacht blue)
- Desert – Kalahari gold paint, titanium grey pearl and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in gold)
- Gravel – Classic grey non-metallic paint, platinum white and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in white)
- Forest – Deep green non-metallic paint, espresso brown and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in bronze)
- Snow – Opalite white magno paint, platinum white and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in white)
- Tarmac – Night black magno paint, Bengal red and black leather interior (or black leather with contrasting top stitching in red)
There are no changes to the G 63’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 430kW of power and 850Nm, sending drive to all four wheels through a nine-speed automatic transmission.
The Mercedes-AMG G 63 goes on sale in Australia on June 19, 2024.
