Hyundai has recalled its Santa Fe due to a defective instrument cluster screen.
“The vehicle’s LCD instrument cluster screen may show an inverted image as a result of voltage fluctuations when operating at extremely low ambient temperatures, due to a discrepancy with internal resistors,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If the LCD instrument cluster is not displayed as intended, it could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”
If you have an affected vehicle, you’ll need to take it to a Hyundai dealership to have the instrument cluster replaced and programmed with the updated software, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Hyundai on 1800 186 306.
