A new generation of Peugeot 3008is coming to Australia soon, when the previous plug-in hybrid and pure petrol options will be axed in favour of a new 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain.
The Allure and GT Premium are available for pre-order now ahead of first customer deliveries commencing early in the first quarter of 2025.
UPDATE, 12/12/2024: The Peugeot 3008 Hybrid range is now on sale in Australia, with fresh details like service pricing now confirmed. First published in September, this article has been updated to reflect those changes.

The range opens at $52,990 before on-road costs, which is up $2915 on the outgoing entry-level variant. A mid-spec GT will join the range “later”, with pricing yet to be announced for this grade.
Peugeot Australia has also published a brief “indicative” list of features, ahead of the full details it will share at launch.
All new 3008 models will feature Peugeot’s recently introduced turbocharged three-cylinder 48V mild-hybrid powertrain, though it’s labelled as a ‘hybrid’.
This comprises a turbocharged 1.2-litre Miller cycle three-pot engine producing 100kW of power and 230Nm of torque, mated with a 21kW/55Nm electric motor located within the transmission, which can provide an extra 9kW of power to the engine under full acceleration.
Peugeot says this powertrain allows pure electric operation for low-speed driving, and the petrol engine can switch when the vehicle is coasting.
Those wanting electric power all of the time will be able to purchase the new E-3008, which is now expected here sometime in 2025.
Peugeot has been expanding its range of commercial electric vehicles (EVs) in Australia, but it’s also rolling out mild-hybrid powertrains across much of its range.
The 308, 408, 2008 and 5008 will adopt mild-hybrid power locally during 2025.
