2020-21 Land Rover Defender 90 recalled

Land Rover has recalled its Defender 90 shorty as the front seats could move further forward than intended.

Jaguar Land Rover Australia has recalled the Land Rover Defender 90 due to an issue with the front seats.

“The front seat end stop brackets may not meet specifications, as a result it may allow the seat to latch further forward than intended,” the company says in its recall notice.

“A reduced seat performance or strength in an event of an accident increases the risk of injury or death to vehicle occupants.”

Jaguar Land Rover Australia says there have been no reported incidents or injuries related to this recall in Australia.

It’s contacting owners of affected vehicles. If you are one of these owners, you’ll need to make arrangements with your Land Rover retailer so they can complete the free repair.

If you have any further questions, you can contact the company’s customer service centre on 1800 625 642.
