Volkswagen Amarok Comparison
The new Volkswagen Amarok has gotten more expensive for 2024.
Previously starting at $52,990 before on-road costs, from February 1, 2024 the range now opens at $55,490 before on-roads for the base Amarok Core TDI405.
The same line-up is being offered for 2024, but prices are up by between $2500 and $3000 across the range. However, the company has extended drive-away offers on MY23 vehicles.
The price increases are partially offset by some new equipment. All models get a trailer brake controller as standard, while the base Core joins the rest of the line-up in offering blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
Three engines continue to be offered: a 2.0-litre single turbo-diesel four-cylinder, 2.0-litre bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel, a 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6, and a 2.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
The 2.3-litre petrol engine is unique to the Amarok relative to the Ford Ranger with which it shares its platform, as while the Blue Oval brand offers this engine in the Ranger in other markets, it doesn’t in Australia.
