    About the Volkswagen Arteon

Oosh purchased this Volkswagen Arteon used for $62,990 (including all on-road costs) in 2020. Oosh would buy this car again because: “Yes. It was the right decision for me based on the circumstances at the time. But, things change and probably wouldn’t buy one again.”

How reliable has your car been? Tell us about any issues.

Not great. It ran dry of fuel multiple times due to a known intermittent fuel level sender issue. It took Volkswagen two attempts to fix the problem.

What do you think of the ownership experience with your car?

It’s a nice car and my Volkswagen local dealer is good, even if I’ve had to visit them more than I’d like, handling the issues with minimal fuss.

Are you happy with the price and features of your car?

Yes. It’s feature packed. But, I would have liked cooled seats. The HUD is a bit of gimmick esp. since it’s next to useless if wearing polarised sunglasses (I think this a general issue with the tech used for it on this and many other cars). I bought mine ex-demo as I think the RRP is a bit steep.

What do you think of the performance and economy of your car?

It’s nearly as quick as my previous 2016 Golf R and returns similar economy despite being larger/heavier. It’s particularly efficient on the highway.

What do you think of the technology in your car?

Good. Adaptive Cruise Control is far more useful than I thought it’d be, especially whilst commuting.

What do you think of the ride comfort and handling of your car?

It’s a bit too big and nose heavy to have sharp handling, and even with the Dynamic Chassis Control set to “Comfort” the 20-inch wheels compromise the ride (they look good though),

Do you have any additional comments about your car?

It’s a bigger, softer Golf R. Fills a gap between the A5 and S5 Sportback in price and performance. Although, if you care about badges get the four rings and if not a Skoda Superb.
