Deepal Automobile Technology Co is a Chinese electric vehicle (EV) and extended range electric vehicle (EREV) maker that was founded in 2018 as Chongqing Changan New Energy Automobile Technology and has been an independent brand within the Changan family since 2023. Launched in Australia in 2024 via Inchcape, the local distributor of Subaru, Peugeot and Foton vehicles, Deepal’s local lineup includes the S05 small SUV, the S07 mid-size SUV, the E07 ‘Multitruck’ large SUV and, perhaps in future, the Hunter K50 range-extender pickup.
