Volkswagen Australia is recalling 70 examples of its Amarok ute to fix an issue that may cause the front drive shaft to get damaged and break.
This recall affects current-generation Volkswagen Amarok models produced in 2023.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, the front drive shaft may become damaged and break,” said the company in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, it could lead to a sudden loss of motive power.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you will need to contact your preferred Volkswagen dealer to schedule an appointment to have the ute inspected and rectified, free of charge.
