Toyota Australia is recalling 30,341 examples of its C-HR small SUV that may be fitted with an incorrectly labelled Toyota genuine accessory tow bar.
This recall affects C-HR models produced between December 2016 and October 2021.
Toyota Australia indicates there are a total of 826 affected Toyota genuine accessory tow bars in the Australian market that may be fitted to these vehicles.
“The involved vehicles may be equipped with a genuine accessory tow bar that was supplied without fitment of an ECE55 Type Approval label, which is required to comply with Australian Design Rule 62/02,” the company says in its recall notice.
