You can’t miss this limited edition Honda Integra (née Civic).
Launched by GAC-Honda for the Chinese market, the Integra Anniversary Limited Edition comes with loud stickers… and not much else.
For just a $357 upgrade over the standard car, buyers can snag a limited-edition version of the sensible family sedan with a wide, red racing stripe, red mirror caps, and huge ‘Limited Edition’ graphics plastered all over the bodywork.
Inside, this edition gains red and black painted trim, and another generous helping of Limited Edition badges.
But wait, there’s more! For the extra outlay buyers also get Integra-branded accessories including a suitcase, backpack, and water bottle.
Just don’t expect any performance or equipment upgrades.
The anniversary special can be specced with either a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder or Honda’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder e:HEV hybrid.
Both engines send power to the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT), although a manual is available with the base engine.
Only available in China, orders for the Anniversary Limited Edition opened on July 26, and it’s ‘first come, first served’.
Roughly translated, marketing on the Honda website describes the lurid sticker special as ‘full of trendy energy’. Whether prospective buyers share that view remains to be seen.
The Chinese-market Integra is sold in other markets as the Civic sedan, and differs from the Acura Integra offered in North America.
We miss out on the Civic sedan here, though Honda Australia offers the hatchback.
