Suzuki Queensland is recalling almost 300 Jimnys as they could lose power.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the fuel pump impeller may swell and cause the fuel pump to stop working,” the company says in its recall notice.

“If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a loss of power.

“A loss of power whilst driving increases the risk of an accident, causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

    • A total of 286 vehicles are affected from 2018-19
    • The vehicle identification number (VIN) list is attached here

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact a Suzuki dealership to organise a free replacement of the fuel pump.
