Renault is raising prices across its entire range from March 1, 2022.
“Like many brands in Australia, Renault have had to increase prices due to significant material and shipping cost changes over recent months,” said Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey.
Prices for the Kangoo van range are unchanged, though Renault’s other commercial vehicles are up by between $1100 and $1360.
SUV price increases vary. The Koleos range is up by only $600, but the Arkana line-up is up by as much as $1100 and the Captur is up by up to $1900.
The single largest price hike, however, comes with the low-volume Megane R.S. hot hatch. Both variants have seen a whopping $6100 extra slapped onto their price tags.
No other changes have been announced for the French brand’s range, though Mr Sealey noted there’s a “product offensive coming soon”.
That includes a refreshed commercial range, the Megane E-Tech Electric in 2023, and “much more to come”.
The new Kangoo is set to arrive in the first half of this year, with an updated Trafic appearing sometime this year.
Renault isn’t the only brand to increase its prices this year. The likes of Kia, MG and Skoda also recently confirmed price increases for most of their models.
