Ram Trucks Australia is recalling over 1400 vehicles across its model range because of a fault with the indicators fitted to its pickups.
“Due to a software issue in the steering column control module, vehicles may have been built with a steering column control module (SCCM) turn signal lever which may not cancel when the steering wheel is rotated or switched off manually,” the company says in its recall notice.
“This could lead to a non-cancelling indicator and/or high beams activating.
“If the turn signal indicators do not illuminate as intended, other road users would be unable to identify if the vehicle is turning.
“This could increase the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact an authorised Ram dealer to have the software updated, free of charge.
