Polestar Australia has introduced price cuts across almost every model variant in its local range for 2025.
This not only includes the Polestar 2 – which has been given temporary price reductions on 2024 models to increase sales – but also the upcoming new 3 and 4 SUVs, the latter of which is yet to arrive in Australian showrooms.
The price reductions on 2025 model year examples of Polestar electric vehicles (EVs) comes amid a sales slump for the brand, which to the end of July sold about 27 per cent less cars compared to the same period 12 months prior.

Polestar 2
The Polestar 2 is now at least $5000 less expensive across the range compared to its standard 2024 price, however it’s still $5000 to $10,000 more than the discounted examples which have been sold between May and the start of September.
As reported in July, 2025 examples are available with a different range of colours, slightly extended driving range and enhanced equipment levels.
The Pilot Pack, which previously cost $3500, is now standard on the Polestar 2, adding pilot assist and emergency stop assist, as well as adaptive cruise control.
Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor examples also gain a Harman Kardon 600W 13-speaker sound system and tinted rear windows, completing the changes to the crossover without adding option packs.

Polestar 3
Australian deliveries of the Polestar 3 are due to begin in earnest, with the first dozen examples turning up in official sales data last month.
The Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor is the brand’s only model which hasn’t benefited from the price cuts, instead going up by $1230 while the Performance Pack-equipped SUV gets a $1470 reduction.
There’s no word yet on when the Long Range Single Motor will come to Australia or how much it will cost. Polestar has previously confirmed it’s going to be available to order later this year.
Model | Price before on-road costs | Price difference vs 2024 |
---|---|---|
2025 Polestar 3 Long Range Dual Motor | $132,900 | +$1230 |
2025 Polestar 3 Dual Motor with Performance Pack | $141,900 | -$1470 |
Polestar 4
Now due to arrive in November, the Polestar 4’s price has been reduced by $3000 across its two variants.
Polestar claims the cut was to bring the 4 underneath the Luxury Car Tax (LCT), however it was going to be so anyway given the increase to the LCT in July.
Initially due to arrive last month, it’ll be the brand’s third EV on sale in Australia, and one of the very few vehicles from any manufacturer without a rear window.
It’s instead fitted with a roof-mounted camera which feeds back images to a screen inside the cabin, which Polestar claims provides a wider field of view than a traditional rear-view mirror.
Model | Price before on-road costs | Price difference vs 2024 |
---|---|---|
2025 Polestar 4 Long Range Single Motor | $78,500 | -$3000 |
2025 Polestar 4 Long Range Dual Motor | $88,350 | -$3000 |
