Audi is recalling 1150 examples of its A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q7, Q8 and e-tron again because a previous recall may have caused an issue with the rear axle clamping nuts, leading to a misalignment problem with the rear axle.
This particular recall affects certain A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q7, Q8 and e-tron models sold between 2019 and 2021.
“The previous replacement of the rear axle clamping nuts (as part of the recent recall REC-001665) may have caused a misalignment of the rear axle assembly,” the company said in its recall.
“This could result in excessive wear to the rear tyres, and may result in a sudden flat tyre and subsequent loss of vehicle control.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact your preferred Audi dealer to arrange an appointment for a free fix.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Audi Australia on 1800 502 834.
