    Multiple Audi models recalled

Audi is recalling 1623 vehicles from model years 2019 to 2021 across eight of its model lines due to rear axle nuts.

    Audi is recalling A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q8 and e-tron models from 2019 to 2021 due to a rear axle fault.

“Some nuts fitted to the rear axle assembly did not meet manufacturing specifications and may break,” the company says in its recall notice.

“A broken nut may lead to increased movement between the wishbone and hub carrier and a change in the wheel alignment on the rear axle.

“A sudden uncontrollable movement of the rear axle cannot be ruled out and increases the risk of injury/death to vehicle occupants or other road users.”
