MG details price rises, cuts for Australian range

MG has bucked the industry trend for ever-increasing prices, and has instead made parts of its range cheaper for the second half of 2023 – although the MG 3 has been hit with a price rise.

The latest update follows changes to MG pricing in March, which saw a variety of price increases across the range.

For the second half of 2023, MG has again increased pricing on the MG 3, and 3 Core with Navigation by $500.

ZS EV pricing has been adjusted for Excite and Essence models depending on your state, with the base Excite seeing price cuts around the $1000 mark depending where you live as MG gears up to phase it out.

The base ZS EV Excite will be discontinued from Australia later this year, to make way for the MG 4 electric hot hatch.

Earlier this year MG introduced its flagship ZS EV Long Range model, which will live on priced from $55,990 before on-road costs.

Pricing for higher-grade variants within the ZS T and HS ranges have seen a $1000 reduction.

The brand has axed its HS Excite X and limited edition Essence Anfield.

CarExpert has previously reported some HS all-wheel drive variants were at risk as a result of being axed due to low demand.

A spokesperson for MG Australia confirmed as of May, the brand had not imported any all-wheel drive models to Australia during 2023.
