An oil leak has led Mercedes-Benz to issue a recall of its Nissan Navara-based X-Class ute.

“Due to a manufacturing issue with the return line of the oil cooler it may become damaged and oil could leak onto the road,” the company says in its recall notice.

“An oil leak onto the road increases the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact a Mercedes-Benz dealership to organise a free inspection and repair.

If you have any further questions, you can contact Mercedes-Benz on 1300 300 896.
