Mercedes-Benz Australia is recalling 2022-23 GLC 300 models as there is an issue with the interior footwell cover.

“Due to a manufacturing defect, the interior footwell cover may cause interference with accelerator pedal,” the company says in its recall notice.

“Interference with the accelerator pedal while driving increases the risk of an accident causing serious injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact a Mercedes-Benz dealership to have the footwell cover repaired, free of charge.

If you have any further questions, you can contact the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centre on 1300 300 896.
