Lynk & Co, part of China’s Geely, has shown off initial images of its latest vehicle ahead of the full reveal on March 30 in China.
The Lynk & Co 08 is a large crossover with coupe-esque traits and a number of the company’s signature design elements.
At the front the crossover has a reworked version of Lynk & Co’s fork-like LED daytime running light signature, as well as a full-width light bar that houses the main headlight beams.
There are vertical side air intakes on the front bumper, as well as a large hexagonal air intake at the bottom.
Around the side there are large diamond-cut alloy wheels, pop-out door handles, and glossy wheel arch cladding. There’s also a two-tone exterior paint job.
Down back, there’s a full-width LED light bar with a Lynk & Co logo underneath it, indentations that house rear reflectors, and a large diffuser-like piece down the bottom.
We’re yet to see any official interior imagery of the Lynk & Co 08 thus far but it’s likely to have tablet-like digital displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
Lynk & Co hasn’t revealed any information about what will power the 08 yet but in the images there are filler doors on both sides, indicating it is a plug-in hybrid (PHEV).
As reported by Car News China, the Lynk & Co 08’s PHEV powertrain will consist of a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor. It’s unclear if there will be more powertrain options.

The 08 will also reportedly be built on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform which underpins the likes of the Lynk & Co 01, 02, 03 and 05, as well as the Volvo XC40, C40, and the Polestar 2.
Geely announced in November 2021 that it aims to bring the Lynk & Co brand to Australia by 2025. This means the Lynk & Co 08 could be coming to Australia if this is still the case.
“Lynk & Co will expand its global presence by entering Russia, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand among others,” said Geely in its original press release detailing its ‘Smart Geely 2025 Strategy’ roadmap.
