Jeep Grand Cherokee recalled
An issue with the ABS module in 2017-19 Jeep Grand Cherokee models could mean the vehicle can be shifted out of park without the brake pedal being depressed.

Jeep is recalling 2017-19 Grand Cherokee models due to an issue that could lead to unintended vehicle movement.
“Due to an issue during manufacture, the Hydraulic Control Unit Anti-lock Brake System module may not perform as intended,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, the brake lights may illuminate or allow the vehicle to start and shift out of park without the brake pedal being depressed. This may result in an unintended vehicle movement.
“An unintended movement of the vehicle may increase the risk of an accident causing serious injuries or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
- A total of 485 vehicles are affected from 2017 to 2019

If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to schedule an appointment with a Jeep dealership to have a free inspection and repair carried out.
