Iveco has unveiled the eMoovy, an electric commercial van based on the Hyundai Staria.
A rebadged version of the Hyundai ST1 – an electric, commercial-friendly version of the Staria Load – the eMoovy is a cab-chassis electric van built on the new global eLCV (electric Light Commercial Vehicle) platform for Iveco models.
Revealed at the 2024 IAA Transportation event in Germany, Iveco claims a WLTP driving range of 320km for the eMoovy, which is powered by a single electric motor producing 160kW of power and 350Nm of torque.
The motor is fed by a 76.1kWh battery, with an 800-volt power system and ultra-fast charging, enabling the eMoovy to gain 100km of range in 10 minutes at a DC charging rate of 350kW.

A lighter 63kWh battery is available with a driving range of 265km.
On a household socket, single-phase AC charging is capped at 7kW, which increases to 11kW for three-phase.
The system also offers vehicle-to-load (V2L) functionality.
The Iveco-designed rear storage compartment measures 2462mm in length, 1810mm in width, and 1700mm in height for a total of 8.3 cubic metres. It’s also claimed to be the only electric 3.5-tonne cab-chassis in its class.
A range of different body styles are available, ranging from box van to pick-up.
Payload for the eMoovy ranges between 1480kg and 1530kg, depending on the battery configuration.
In the cabin, the eMoovy closely resembles the Hyundai Staria Load that its based on.
The eMoovy comes standard with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, as well as luxuries including heated and ventilated eco-leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and an air purifying air-conditioning.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) include adaptive cruise control with stop/go, lane centring, forward collision avoidance, and driver attention monitoring.
The partnership between Iveco and Hyundai began in 2022, with the manufacturers joining forces to collaborate on carbon neutral commercial vehicles.
The eMoovy is the first all-new vehicle to come of the alliance, with more shared platform projects to come on the eLCV platform.
At this stage, it’s unclear whether the Iveco-badged van will find its way into Australian showrooms.
