Hyundai is recalling certain V6-powered Palisade models as they could lose power.
“Due to a manufacturing defect, under certain conditions the engine valve springs may crack,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If this occurs, the engine could stall resulting in a loss of motive power.
“A loss of motive power whilst driving could increase the risk of an accident causing injury or death to vehicle occupants and/or other road users.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to make an appointment with a Hyundai dealership to have the sub-engine assembly replaced, free of charge.
If you have any further questions, you can contact Hyundai Customer Care on 1800 186 306.
