An allegedly intoxicated driver has damaged multiple vehicles, including his own, and it was all caught on his dashcam.
According to a post on the NSW Police Force Traffic and Highway Patrol Command’s Facebook account, the 36-year-old Suzuki Jimny XL driver from Stanmore was driving in Petersham on the afternoon of Sunday, October 13 when he allegedly ran a red light.
Shortly thereafter, he collided with the rear of a parked vehicle at a speed of around 40km/h, pushing it into a vehicle parked in front of it.

The man then allegedly reversed backwards and hit another parked vehicle – plus a pole and a fence – before moving forward and once again hitting the first vehicle he struck.
Police claim this was all witnessed by onlookers, while the driver’s dashcam was allegedly recording the whole time.
When police caught up with the driver shortly after, he was breath-tested and recorded a reading of 0.290 grams of alcohol – almost six times above the legal limit of 0.05.
Police arrested the driver and took him to Petersham Police Station to submit to a breath analysis, though he allegedly refused to do so on multiple occasions by saying, “How about you go **** yourself?”
Photos shared by the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command reveal that, in addition to the likely front- and rear-end damage inflicted on the Jimny XL, there are also extensive scrapes down the side.
Inside the cabin, officers saw multiple cans of beer.
The man’s driver’s licence was suspended and he has been charged with multiple offences including refusing a breath analysis, while his dashcam footage was also seized.
