Chery Motor Australia is the first ever automotive partner of St Kilda Football Club, with the two organisations announcing a three-year contract this week.
The sponsorship will see Chery installed as a “Co-Principal” partner of the club’s AFL program and “Co-Major” partner across AFLW. Chery branding will feature on the back of both teams’ guernseys, plus the neckline of the men’s jumper. Further, Chery’s logo will be found on St Kilda FC’s off-field apparel for both teams.
“The automotive sector is an area of business we’ve been looking to enter for some time, but we feel we’ve found the perfect partner now in Chery,” said St Kilda CEO Simon Lethlean. “Announcing this historic partnership really feels like the perfect way to round out our 150th year.”
“We are very excited to be partnering with St Kilda FC as their first automotive sponsor, and for the Chery brand to be entering the AFL landscape with the opportunity to connect with the Australian sporting audience,” said Andy Zhang, managing director for Chery Motor Australia.
Chery used the football club’s Trevor Barker Award ceremony to debut its Tiggo 7 Pro, due to launch in Australia imminently priced from $39,990 drive-away. Read our price and specs breakdown here.
