The GWM Haval Jolion Hybrid has received even sharper pricing for a limited time, making it comfortably Australia’s most affordable hybrid SUV.

In base Premium trim, the small electrified SUV is being offered for $27,990 drive-away until September 30, 2025.

That’s a saving of $2000 over the regular drive-away price, which previously saw it share the title of Australia’s cheapest hybrid SUV with the Chery Tiggo 4 Urban Hybrid.

GWM has also slashed $2000 off the price of Lux Hybrid and Ultra Hybrid versions of its Haval Jolion, which sees their stickers reduced to $33,990 and $36,990 drive-away, respectively.

The petrol-only Haval Jolion is also now duking it out with the Chery Tiggo 4 and Mahindra XUV 3XO for the title of Australia’s cheapest SUV, with the base Premium being offered for $23,990 drive-away.

That’s the same price as the entry-level Chery Tiggo 4 Urban and Mahindra XUV 3XO AX5L, the latter of which recently had its price bumped up by $500 after early promotional pricing ended.

It also marks a $1000 reduction on the regular drive-away price.

Likewise, the petrol Lux and Ultra are $1000 cheaper, priced at $26,990 and $32,990 drive-away, respectively.

GWM says it hopes the Haval Jolion deals will help it “capture an even greater share of the segment”. To the end of August, it’s sitting in third place in its segment with 12,278 deliveries and an 11.2 per cent market share, behind the MG ZS (14,419, 13.1 per cent) and Hyundai Kona (15,127, 13.8 per cent).

The company is also touting its position as Australia’s third-largest seller of hybrid vehicles.

It held this title last year and maintained it in the first half of this year, edging out Lexus with a total of 5587 deliveries. That still saw it well behind second-placed Hyundai (13,696), which was in turn even further behind first-placed Toyota (55,282).

Elsewhere in the lineup, GWM is offering the following deals until September 30:

    • $1500 off the Cannon Premium 2.0TD, now $38,990 drive-away
    • $4000 off the Cannon Alpha PHEV range
      • Cannon Alpha PHEV Lux priced at $53,490 drive-away
      • Cannon Alpha PHEV Ultra priced at $60,490 drive-away
    • 1.99 per cent finance rate over 60 months for GWM Cannon Alpha PHEV (instead of drive-away discount) and Haval H6 PHEV
