Fiat Chrysler Australia is recalling 32 examples of its Abarth 595 pocket rocket due to an incorrect compliance label.
This recall only affects Abarth 595 models sold in 2021.
“The compliance label on some vehicles may have been printed with an incorrect seating capacity of five instead of the correct seating capacity of four,” the company says in its recall notice.
“If the label is printed incorrectly the vehicle will not be compliant with the Australian Design Rule 61/02 (Vehicle Marking).”
“Consumers may attempt to transport five occupants in the vehicle rather than four following the incorrect information on the label.”
If you own an affected vehicle, you’ll need to contact an authorised Fiat dealer to schedule an appointment for a free fix.
If you have any further questions, you can call Fiat Chrysler Australia on 1800 870 720.
