The new-generation 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan lineup has been priced for Australia, promising a greater focus on value and attainable luxuries.
Due to arrive in May, the German brand’s competitor to the Toyota RAV4 and Mazda CX-5 now offers more features than ever before in its most basic guise, with the price of entry only rising by $1000 and new trim levels affording more choice.
Life, Elegance and R-Line grades remain, with a new 110TSI Elegance joining the range and a new 195TSI R-Line flagship serving as a spiritual successor to the previous-generation Tiguan R performance hero.

New engines debut as well, including the aforementioned 195TSI tune of the EA888 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, in addition to the revised mid-spec 150TSI 2.0-litre four with all-wheel drive – serving as a successor to the popular 162TSI grade offered in the previous generation.
From the base grade, there’s a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit instrument cluster, 12.9-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation, surround cameras, keyless entry, a power tailgate, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
These features are in addition to the brand’s full suite of assists as standard equipment.
All models also pick up the new Dynamic Road Sign Assist system, which first debuted on the new Touareg. Traffic sign recognition has been an omission from Australian-delivered VW models for some time.
New technologies available depending on variant include HD Matrix LED headlights, a massive 15.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display, and the brand’s Dynamic Chassis Control Pro with 15-stage adaptive dampers.
