The updated LDV D90 has finally arrived in Australian showrooms, bringing a raft of upgrades and price increases of more than $4000 across the revised lineup, which now goes without the option of a turbo-diesel engine.
UPDATE, 2/12/24: LDV Australia has revised a handful of specification changes to the 2025 D90. Our original story from November has been amended and pulled forward to reflect this.
Starting at $43,147 drive-away, the new D90 will be offered in two trim grades – Mode (replacing the self-named base model) and Executive – the latter of which continues as the only variant with the option of four-wheel drive.
Each grade of the seven-seater is around $4210 dearer than the variant it replaces, coinciding with a power boost and equipment enhancement across the range.

As with the previous model, the 2025 LDV D90 features a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with either rear- or four-wheel drive.
However, outputs are up for the boxier-looking model, which boasts 184kW of power and 410Nm of torque, an increase of 19kW and 60Nm respectively.
The uprated engine is mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission, offering two more ratios than its predecessor. This and the increased outputs has led to a significant reduction in fuel consumption – 1.5L/100km for the 2WD and 1.1L/100km for the AWD.
Missing from the lineup though is the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which previously served as the flagship, and produced 160kW/480Nm while being capable of towing 3100kg braked. This engine has been approved for sale but is yet to be locked in to return.
Inside, a new dashboard houses a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
