There’s once again a petrol-powered small van in Renault Australia showrooms.
Petrol-powered Renault Kangoo SWB and LWB models are arriving to join the electric E-Tech, which started reaching showrooms earlier this year.
Renault has now detailed the petrol-powered range, which opens at $38,990 before on-road costs for the SWB manual – $23,000 less than the cheapest E-Tech.
It’s been a long wait for the new Kangoo, which was revealed all the way back in November 2020 and went on sale in Europe early in 2021.
It was initially set to arrive here in 2022, before being delayed to 2023 and then this year. Renault Australia has previously blamed a lack of supply, with larger markets being prioritised over ours.
The Kangoo goes up against the Peugeot Partner and Volkswagen Caddy in the small van segment.
Unlike the previous generation, there’s no diesel engine available in Australia.
