The Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid has been revealed, the third plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variant of the German marque’s new-generation SUV range – and it’s coming to Australia.
Available to order now in both SUV and Coupe body styles, the Cayenne S E-Hybrid is priced from $178,300 plus on-road costs (Coupe from$185,100), with local deliveries scheduled to commence early in 2024.
Power in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid – which slots between the existing E-Hybrid and Turbo E-Hybrid versions – comes from a 260kW 3.0-litre V6 turbo petrol engine teamed with a 130kW e-motor. System power output is quoted at 382kW, with system torque rated at a beefy 750Nm.
The company claims the new Cayenne S E-Hybrid can dash from 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 263km/h. While Porsche Australia doesn’t quote electric driving range, the 25.9kWh battery pack offers 71-78km based on European WLTP specifications.
Porsche has also confirmed the Cayenne S E-Hybrid can be charged at a maximum rate of 11kW.
