The 2024 Audi Q5 range gets more standard safety equipment, but has lost a couple of slower-selling variants.
Audi Australia has slimmed down its Q5 range for 2024, with 40 TDI and 45 TFSI wagon variants now available only in Sport trim.
UPDATE, 13/02/2024 – Audi Australia increased prices across its Q5 range on January 1, 2024. We have updated this article to reflect the changes.
“Due to ongoing disruptions to global markets, increases in the costs of raw materials and logistics mean that Audi Australia has seen an increase in prices across the model range. These revised prices were effective from January 1, 2024,” an Audi Australia spokesperson told CarExpert.
“From MY24, we removed the non-sport variants of this car in order to streamline and refine the Q5 range,” said a spokesperson for Audi Australia.
“The cars with sport trim far outsold the non-sport versions as customers could see the value in moving to the sport trim, and as such, we removed the non-sport vehicles for these two powertrains.”
As previously announced, the Q5 range receives adaptive cruise control, Turn Assist, Swerve Assist, Predictive Efficiency Assistant and Arkona White exterior paint as standard for 2024.
The range now starts at $70,850 before on-road costs for the Audi Q5 35 TDI, which recently joined the line-up as a permanent model, and extends to $121,100 before on-road costs for the flagship SQ5 TDI.
Order books for the updated range opened in September of this year.
The Q5 is Audi’s best seller in Australia, and competes with the BMW X3, Lexus NX, and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class.
Between January and October 2023 Audi sold 3521 examples of its Q5. It was outsold by only the Lexus NX (5708) and Tesla Model Y (24,267).
