The electric Peugeot e-2008 crossover will be priced at $59,990 before on-road costs when it arrives here later this year.
UPDATE, 06/09/2023 – Our review of the Peugeot e-2008 has now gone live. We’ve updated this story as the full specification list is now available.
Peugeot says a “limited initial allocation” will arrive in showrooms in the third quarter of 2023.
The new electric SUV is available to pre-order now.
It’s distinguished from regular 2008 models by its body-colour grille slats, as well as e-2008 badging.
The e-2008 follows shortly after the e-Partner van, Peugeot’s first electric vehicle in Australia, which is the exact same price as the electric crossover. It also features the same electric powertrain.
Peugeot Australia says it’s in the final evaluation stages of bringing the e-208 light hatch Down Under, which could arrive later this year. It’s also evaluating the mid-sized e-Partner van.
The rollout of electric vehicles follows a similarly extensive rollout of plug-in hybrids over 2022 and 2023, with PHEV versions of the 308, 3008 and 508 now on sale.
