The new Mercedes-Benz GLC is set to launch in June with only one variant. It's priced from $104,900 before on-road costs.

Mercedes-Benz Australia has detailed the local pricing and standard features for its critical new-generation GLC SUV ahead of its on-sale date in June.
As previously detailed, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC will only be available with one variant at launch locally. The GLC 300 4Matic is priced from $104,900 before on-road costs, which is $12,600 more than the outgoing model.
The German carmaker’s local division has said coupe and AMG GLC models will follow at a later date. Although the latter hasn’t been officially revealed yet, a number of spied prototypes have been captured over the last 12 months.
The GLC 300 4Matic is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 190kW and 400Nm of torque, and a 48V mild-hybrid system that has a starter-alternator producing 17kW/200Nm.
Based on the current C-Class, this new GLC is 60mm longer and 4mm shorter than the outgoing model. The width remains unchanged and the wheelbase is 15mm longer.
Price is before on-road costs.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 190kW of power and 400Nm of torque.
There’s also a 48V mild-hybrid system that has a starter-alternator producing 17kW/200Nm, which is designed to deliver a smoother start/stop and provide a jolt of extra power under acceleration.
This is all mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission with drive sent through a 4Matic all-wheel drive system.
Mercedes-Benz claims it can do the 0-100km/h sprint in 6.2 seconds.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic has a claimed combined fuel economy figure of 7.7 litres per 100km.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic measures in at 4716mm long, 1890mm wide, and 1640mm tall, with a 2888mm wheelbase.
This is 60mm longer overall and 4mm lower than the outgoing GLC. The width remains the same and the wheelbase is 15mm longer.
Mercedes-Benz claims the boot capacity is 620 litres, which is 50 litres more than the outgoing model. The second-row seats also fold in a 40:20:40 ratio.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC, like all new Mercedes-Benz models, is covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty.
Mercedes-Benz Australia has detailed service intervals or pricing yet.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC hasn’t been tested by ANCAP just yet, though it received a five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP. These two safety authorities have harmonised testing protocols.
Mercedes-Benz Australia hasn’t detailed the full list of safety equipment for the GLC just yet, though it has confirmed it has a front centre airbag.
